bluescape, from Total Systems plc, is a series of insurance software SOA components (Quote, Rating, Policy, Claims, Portal, Workflow, Analytics, Portal) that collectively form a full cycle General Insurance administration system – suitable for both intermediaries and insurers through the ability to configure differing business models within it. Also, in different combinations those components fulfil various other unique functions in the insurance distribution and carrier to consumer value chain – such as a commercial underwriting solution, a claims management system, a quote and buy portal for commercial and personal lines insurance, an MGA system with direct broker access and an insurance ‘hub’ for packaging covers together under a single policy providing tailored insurance for each customer to name a few.
This allows uniquely tailored solutions for each business without heavy customisation or deviation from the core system, meaning ongoing alignment with core bluescape, so there is always value in each new release of software.
Out-of-the-box you have a platform that supports a customer journey for direct business, a broker portal for broker administration, a call centre portal, an underwriter portal and a claims management portal.
The bluescape platform is all based on the Microsoft Stack, including a SQL data warehouse which can be used by any analytics/dashboarding tool (we deliver Microsoft Power BI as standard).
