Shop Floor Insight is a Manufacturing Execution System add-on for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central that uses barcode scanning and touch screens to simplify data capture on the shop floor, reducing errors associated with manual time entry. It allows employees to record time against production orders, jobs, non-productive activities, and maintenance using shared or individual shop terminals or devices. It also captures operational data on the shop floor, including consumption, output, scrap, and quality, and records and reports on non-productive and rework time for better insight into lost productivity. Shop Floor Insight significantly reduces labor costs and entry errors associated with manual data entry and provides real-time reporting for job progression and costing.
