  The product is very easy to use, and usually self-inituitive. I very much like the lineage depicted on the creation of tables and the connection with Tableau datasources, because any employee (from engineer to C-level exec) can easily trace the path of the information from dashboards to tables and vice versa. I also like very much the discussion feature on the items appearing Select Star.Nothing specific at the moment, especially since the prodct it self is evolving daily, it would be unfair to mention something on a review while it could evolve/be solved a week after. :).

  The thing that makes me think positively about Select star is the Search bar. The search bar at the top of the page allows you to search for any data asset, using spaces as delimiters. The search results page includes filters for Asset Types, Tags, Owners, and more, which can be adjusted to display or hide specific items. This is a helpful tool for data professionals looking to quickly and easily find data objects across a range of sources.The thing that could be improved is that when organisations turn off data edit on the Select Star, even the Admin and Data manager can not edit it.

  Select Star gives the best view of data lineage for all the connected tools. Another important feature was for documenting the metrics and summary which is very useful if multiple teams are working across the company. The popularity of tables is a very nice feature to determine the most commonly queried table and most commonly used dashboard.There are no major dislikes that we came while working with Select Star.
