The Security Scorecard software offers the availability to get a overview of your vendor/contractors security posture. Allows you to rate a new vendor to validate how well their protect/secure their environment to better understand if they will protect your environment/data.Currently I have not experienced anything that I do not like about this product. This solution was built very well with flexibility.

I use it as one more input when reviewing the vendor security posture within the vendor security risk assessment process. I like it gives me detailed inputs to start asking things about the third party.According to third-party feedback, unfortunately, it gives many false positives. They don't give much relevance to what SS says and redirect us to their pen tests. It's plenty of false positives (i.e., domains not owned by the scanned URL) in the Application and network security sections.

The ease of use was nice BUT that pales in comparison to the negatives here. If something is easy to use and provides no value ... or negative value (false confidence) ... then obviously it is not a great solution. The worst part about this product is that it tries to take a cookie-cutter approach to IT vendor management security. It just doesn't work. You need to fully vet your vendors if security breaches and your data are a key concern. This provides very surface-level and superficial findings that are collected in an arbitrary way, thus are mostly irrelevant.
