Consul made it easy to list all services and backend ports. By creating templates we use it to get dynamic inventories for Ansible instead of static addresses. Not a complain at all but some clients have ticketing systems like ServiceNow and will be nice to have integration from Consul discovery to the ServiceNow CMDB.

Consul is a small in size, but massive in capabilities application. Simple deployment allows to save tons of time, ease management saves daily costs of configuration and management. Practical, detailed and useful knowledge base with simple examples pointing right to the problem resolution. New features are just mind-blowing and straightforward, allows to solve more and more daily problems. Additionally, there are plenty of users around the world who are sharing their experience.Nothing to mention in particular. Major changes might seem very harsh before upgrade, but in the end it is just few additional steps.
