ezyVet offered full functionality to manage care for all types of animals and types of customers, and was able to successfully report by these breakouts. The system is stable and accessible from anywhere (cloud-based). It can handle unique pricing of services for animals, employees, non-profits, and public customers, and the pricing model also varied by the type of product/service. It can report expenses and revenue by categories of animals, employees, non-profits, and public customers. It can be used for both types of clinics. It incorporates whiteboard (integrated with SmartFlow) and has seamless integration with lab, x-ray, and ultrasound equipment and vendors. It has significant paperless functionality and can manage clinic inventory. All data is available via API. ezyVet met all of our criteria.The standard reporting in ezyVet does not provide most of what we are looking for as a non-profit. The learning curve was quite steep, and ezyVet is not easy to learn for the less tech-savvy staff. However, once they learned it, it has been fairly easy to use. The client portal has limitations in the functionality to set up questions and answers.

The hospitalization information is displayed well, and the integration with Smart Flow is improving with time. The diagnostic request and result tabs come in handy.There are too many steps to complete a task, and the lab request process has unallocated results. It is not very user-friendly, and there are duplications of charges and lab results that add to confusion and time consumption, as well as unnecessary repeat runs and blood draws. The communications are not chronological by design, which leads to confusion. The discharge information is the worst aspect of this system, which should be the most user/client-friendly and it definitely is not.

The features they sold us on will be awesome if they worked. The ability to work between multiple sites. The ability to control inventory over multiple sites.There is absolutely no help in setting the software up. They charge A LOT of money for this phase, but it is all DIY. The implementers don't know their own software. No two people can tell you the same thing. Most of the time they contradict themselves. You have to learn how to set up the software and use the software on your own by watching videos. The videos don't match what the implementers say, nor do they match the quizzes in the training. It does not do what they say it will do.
